When you’re around yoga, you’re going to hear some Sanskrit words – guaranteed. These are the shorthand means of expressing some really interesting and often beautiful concepts that can get a bit complicated in explanation. We thought it might be both practical and beautiful to present some common Sanskrit words along with their calligraphy and meaning using colorful, iconic contexts.

Printed on 100% PCW paper with natural variations, our cards are blank inside and also terrific framed as prints to hang in your yoga studio or home…

This set of 4 cards includes one each of:

Om. “aaaUUUMMMmmm” — the first sound of creation, which serves as a reminder of the universal divine consciousness.

Yoga. “to yoke or unite” — yoga is a practice to unite the body & mind with the spirit.

Sankalpa. “will, determination” — an affirmative intention set in the present tense; for example, “I am the change I wish to see.”

Namaste. “I bow to you” – said in greeting and parting to mean, “I recognize the divine light in you that is also in me.”
